In a move aimed at enhancing the government's communication efficiency, President Bola Tinubu has approved the restructuring of the State House media and communications team. The reshuffling involves a re-designation of roles for two key officials within the communication apparatus.

Mr. Sunday Dare, previously serving as the Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, has been reassigned as the Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications. Similarly, Mr. Daniel Bwala, who was recently appointed as the Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication, will now serve as the Special Adviser on Policy Communication.

This restructuring complements the existing role of Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, emphasizing a collective approach to government communications. Rather than having a single spokesperson for the Presidency, the three Special Advisers will work together to communicate government policies, decisions, and engagements effectively and consistently.

The statement was released and signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
