The Anti Vandal squad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Niger State Command, has apprehended four suspected vandals
They were arrested by the operatives of the Anti Vandal unit who were on routine patrol along Tafa Dikko high ways when they noticed that some street lights were Vandalize
Parading the four suspects before Journalists at the Command headquarters in Minna at the weekend,the state Command of the Corp in Niger State Mr Adamu Abdullahi Kambara, disclosed that his men on routine patrol noticed that some street lights poles had fallen down "and Vandalize which informed my men to swung into action and effected their arrest in the bush"
Commandant Adamu Abdullahi Kambara who gave the names of the suspects as Aliyu Abdulkadir,40 years old, Kabir Maikaza, 35 years old, Zahardeen Idris 19 years old and Zairu Zulaidani 19 years explained that they were picked from the bush when his men mounted surveillance on the scene
He stated further that during the routine patrol along the Dikko Tafa junction it was discovered that several street lights poles were damaged as a result of the activities of the vandals.
" When my men of the Anti Vandal squad on surveillance patrol along the Dikko Tafa junction,they noticed that several street lights poles had fallen
down.
" It was at that point they suspected that something was happening. This informed them to embarked on searching the bush and effected the arrest of these vandals from the bush" he told Journalists.
This swift action as displayed by the operatives, according the Commandant Adamu Kambara, demonstrated the NSCDC preparedness to continue to leave above board in safeguarding the Critical National Assets and Infrastructures across Niger State.
He further told Journalists during search conducted by his men, the suspected vandals were found to be in possession of some tools used for vandalizing the poles.
Stating that the four suspected vandals were immediately taken into Custody "and they are under interrogation after which they will all be charged to court for diligent Prosecution"
Commandant Adamu Kambara assured that his command will continue to partner with relevant security agencies in the state to make Niger state inhabitable for criminally minded elements warning that they should relocate from the state, " or they should be prepared to incur the full wrath of the Command
" The command wish to request for the support and cooperation of the people of the state to report suspicious movement in their midsts to the appropriate security agencies for prompt action.

Assuring that the Niger State Command of the Corp under his leadership will continue to remain dedicated to maintaining law and order at all times.
