The Nasarawa State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has tendered an official apology to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, and his principal, Governor Abdullahi Sule, for remarks made in a recent letter to the government.
The letter, which raised concerns about an alleged delay in the implementation of the minimum wage, contained certain indicting utterances that sparked reactions.
In a statement issued by the NLC, the union expressed regret over the tone and content of the correspondence, describing it as unintended and not reflective of their respect for the state's leadership.
The NLC reaffirmed its commitment to constructive dialogue and collaboration with the government to address workers' welfare issues.
The union also reiterated its confidence in the administration’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations to the workforce.
