The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Nasarawa State Chapter, has announced its new Management Committee, bringing in a team of leaders from across the state's Local Government Areas (LGAs).
The appointments highlight a commitment to strengthened governance and representation at the local level.
Safiyanu Isa Andaha from Akwanga LGA will serve as Chairman, with Umar A. Danakano of Awe LGA appointed as Deputy Chairman. Pharmacist Ahmad B. Yahya from Toto LGA assumes the role of Secretary, while Isa Mohammed Sani of Obi LGA is the new Treasurer. Ezekiel Musa Jegga from Wamba LGA has been named Financial Secretary.
Additional roles include Barrister Iliya Bin Aliyu of Nasarawa Eggon LGA as Legal Adviser, Agbawu Mek Agbawu from Kokona LGA as Welfare Officer, Jonathan Okuba Addra from Doma LGA as Auditor, and Mohammed Hassan Ahmed of Nasarawa LGA as Public Relations Officer.
This leadership team is expected to drive collaborative efforts and advocate effectively for local government interests in Nasarawa State.
