The First Lady of Nasarawa State, Her Excellency Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi A. Sule, along with other governors’ spouses, joined the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to commission the newly renovated Ebonyi Airport runway.
The renovation was spearheaded by the Ebonyi State Government, and its unveiling coincided with the Quarterly Meeting of the Nigerian Governors’ Spouses Forum.
The meeting, hosted by the First Lady of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Mary Uzoamaka Nwifuru, took place on Friday.
During the ceremony, Senator Oluremi Tinubu praised Governor Francis Nwifuru for his commitment to enhancing the state's infrastructure and economic accessibility through the renovation.
Earlier, on Thursday, Hajiya Silifat Sule, alongside her counterparts, attended the Quarterly Meeting of the Nigerian Governors’ Spouses Forum in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The meeting focused on critical discussions concerning the rights and welfare of women, youth, and the girl-child.
Hajiya Silifat Sule, along with other First Ladies, led by their Chairperson, Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazaq, participated in the Annual Ebonyi State Women’s Day celebrations.
The festivities culminated in a gala night held to commemorate the occasion, celebrating women's contributions and progress across various sectors.
