The Keffi Local Government chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has passed a vote of no confidence on its chairman, Mohammed Bello Yakubu, citing issues of mismanagement, corruption, and poor leadership.

In a letter addressed to the APC State Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, the local executive committee expressed disappointment with Yakubu's leadership. They accused him of actions that have caused division within the party, including his involvement as a defendant in a 2023 pre-election case, where he filed an appeal against the party's primary election outcome.

The committee also alleged financial misconduct, claiming that Yakubu collected funds from Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna and diverted them for personal use. Furthermore, they criticized his failure to convene meetings of the party's various organs since assuming office, a move they said has hindered the party’s progress in Keffi Local Government Area.

The committee demanded that Yakubu step aside while investigations are conducted, recommending that the Deputy Chairman take over his duties in the interim. Copies of the letter were also sent to His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule, and Hon. Isiah Koki Agah, APC Vice Chairman for the Western Zone.

The APC Keffi chapter called on the party's leadership to act swiftly to address the matter and restore unity and confidence among members.
