Chief Isaac Danladi, a retired Permanent Secretary and a distinguished legal practitioner, has declared his intention to seamlessly blend his legal expertise with a burgeoning political career.
This announcement came during an exclusive interview at his residence in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, following his retirement from public service after an illustrious 35-year career.
Speaking with our correspondent, Chief Danladi reflected on his journey in the public sector and his vision for the future. “Now that I have retired from service after 35 years as a lawyer,
I will continue with my profession. However, politics has now entered my path, and I intend to mix politics with my legal practice,” he revealed. According to Danladi, his foray into politics is driven by a passion to leverage his extensive legal background in addressing public issues and contributing to governance in a more impactful way.
The retired Permanent Secretary highlighted the need for experienced professionals to engage in politics to bring about reforms and promote good governance.
“With my legal experience, I aim to bring a fresh perspective to political issues, championing the cause of justice, accountability, and development in our communities.
The two professions are complementary in my view—legal practice has given me insights that will be invaluable in navigating political responsibilities,” he added.
Danladi’s remarks were made shortly after a thanksgiving service held at ECWA Fellowship 1 Church, Tudun Wada, Karu, where family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers gathered to honor and celebrate his career achievements.
The atmosphere at the church was filled with gratitude and reflection, with testimonies and heartfelt tributes underscoring the impact of Chief Danladi’s dedication and leadership over the years.
During the thanksgiving service, Danladi expressed profound appreciation for the support he has received throughout his career and for the guidance that has steered him to this new chapter of life.
He acknowledged that stepping into the political arena comes with its own set of challenges but is confident that his legal acumen and experience in public administration will be valuable assets in serving his people and the state at large.
The occasion was marked by prayers, praises, and celebratory remarks, as attendees expressed hope that Danladi’s new path will continue to reflect his commitment to integrity, service, and justice.
