Hon. Aminu Mua'zu Maifata, the immediate past National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and the current Chairman of Lafia Local Government Area, expressed unwavering confidence that the All Progressive Congress (APC) will secure victory across all local government chairmanship and councilor positions in the upcoming elections.
In an exclusive interview with journalists shortly after he cast his vote at his polling unit around 10:35 AM, Maifata emphasized the importance of civic engagement, noting the remarkable turnout of voters.
He remarked on the enthusiasm displayed by the electorate, highlighting how citizens were eager to exercise their democratic rights.
Maifata commended the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASEIC) for their role in organizing a smooth and peaceful electoral process.
He described the election atmosphere as orderly and conducive, reflecting a commitment to democracy in the region. "A peaceful election is a testament to the maturity of our electoral process and the dedication of our people to uphold democratic values," he stated.
Additionally, Maifata called on Nigerians to continue their faith in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule.
He stressed that their administration is focused on progress and development, urging citizens to support policies that foster growth and stability.
"Now is the time for unity and collaboration to ensure that our leaders can implement their vision for a better Nigeria," he added.
