The highly anticipated 4th Abuja Book Fair is scheduled to take place from November 28 to November 30, 2024, at Sharon Ultimate Hotel, Abuja, under the theme “Reading Culture Renaissance.” The event promises an array of activities catering to all age groups and aims to reinvigorate the reading culture in Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the Chief Executive Officer of Flomat Books Limited, Engr. Anthony Omanudhohwo Akpokene, highlighted the organization's commitment to spreading knowledge, facilitating enlightenment, and contributing to societal progress.

"The objective of this book fair is to stimulate children and rekindle the love for reading among Nigerians," the statement emphasized.

The statement further disclosed the participation of distinguished personalities as special guests, including Engr. Joshua Egube, Segun Odegbami, Mrs. Ifueko Omogul, Prof. Jerry Gana, Dr. John Asein, Dare Oluwatuyi, Mrs. Olusola Bankole, Prof. Macdonald Idu, and Pastor Tawus Gaya.

Attendees will enjoy remarkable activities, including book exhibitions with extraordinary discounts, interactions with authors, lectures on diverse topics, special meetings with individuals whose lives were transformed by books, networking opportunities, and a grand dinner.

The event will also feature lectures addressing key health and wellness topics such as the efficacy of herbal medicine and treatment, the impact of nutrition on eye health, the negative effects of digital devices, and strategies for helping challenged children excel.

In addition, there will be special reading sessions ahead of the main fair. On November 26, a reading session will be held for private schools at Bankys School, Apo District, while on November 27, government schools will be hosted at Government Secondary School, Area 10. Renowned authors, including Uzoma Uponi (Colour Blind), Michael Oviemhada (100 Years), Pastor Tawus Gaya (Influence: An Oasis), Chris Ekpekurede (Laughing Over Serious Issues), and Anote Ajeluorou (Liberation for Africa), will read excerpts from their works.
