Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, member representing Toto/ Gadabuke constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly says that the stakeholders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Toto LG have agreed to work with any chairmanship aspirant picked out of the three names submitted to Gov. Abdullahi Sule ahead of the Nov. 2nd, local government election in the State.
Hon. Isimbabi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Youth and Sports Development stated this while briefing newsmen in Lafia today Saturday.
He said that Gov. Sule said if concensus failed, the stakeholders should forward three names for him to choose one to flag the party's ticket.
According to him, the statutory stakeholders of APC in Toto LGA met yesterday Friday, assessed and screened the CVs of the five chairmanship aspirants of Toto LGA.
" We have done justice by selecting the best three aspirants out of the five aspirants we have" he said.
He said that the stakeholders have agreed during its yesterday's meeting not to go against the choice of Gov. Sule for the chairmanship position of the area and that they are going to fully support the chosen one and ensure his victory at the poll.
" Today's briefing was necessitated as a result of the follow up meeting held by APC statutory stakeholders of Toto LG to chose consensus candidate that will flag the party's ticket.
" As during the expanded critical stakeholders APC meeting of the 13 Local Government Areas last week in Government House, His Excellency the Governor and the party has directed that stakeholders of each Local Government Area are to select consensus candidates for chairmanship position.
" So, during our yesterday meeting, all stakeholders have agreed that we will work together for the victory of any candidate that His Excellency Gov. Abdullahi Sule pick to flag our chairmanship ticket" he said.
He urged stakeholders and other members of the party to work for the victory of any APC candidate selected by Gov. Sule.
Hon. Isimbabi commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for providing good leadership in the State.
Besides, the lawmaker assured the people of his constituency of good and sound representation at the state legislature.
" I want to assure the people of my constituency that I will continue to represent them well by providing the much needed dividends of democracy to them" he said.
The lawmaker called on the people of his constituency, Toto LG and the State at large to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule's administration to succeed.
He advised his people that even at the face of the council elections they should remain peaceful and united by ensuring that the peaceful coexistence, unity and harmony in the area is highly sustained for development to thrive among the people.
