The Speaker House of Representatives Dr Abbas Tajiudeen Iyan Zazzau has mourned Zazzau Prince, Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris Dan-Isa Zazzau who died in Zaria after brief illness Tuesday against the speculation that that he died in Auto crash along Abuja-Kaduna express way.
He expressed shocks on sudden and timely death of the prince.
This contained in statement by the media aid of the Speaker, Mal Musa Abdullahi Krishi which was made available to Journalists in Zaria on Wednesday.
The statement read partly "late Umar was a son of the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris. He died about 40 days after his biological mother and Mother inlaw to the incumbent Emir, Mal Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, Hajiya Habibah Shehu-Idris's death
"Until his death, Umar was the Assistant Secretary of the Zazzau Emirate Council.
The Speaker, who is also a prince in the emirate and holds the traditional title of Iyan Zazzau, described Umar's death as unfortunate and painful.
“The death is devastating. It is shocking and very painful. Umar was a brilliant young prince who served the emirate wholeheartedly,” he said.
Our Correspondent reports that the late Umar shehu has been buried in Zaria in accordance with Islamic injunction on Wednesday.
