The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),Niger State Command has decorated (76)newly promoted officers of the command with their new rank.
The brief ceremony was held at the command headquarters, David Mark Road,Tunga Minna,on Wednesday,23rd October,2024.
Those promoted include:
( 6) Senior Assistant Commandants to Deputy Commandants (10) Chief Superintendents to Assistant Commandants (6) Superintendents to Chief Superintendents (15) Deputy Superintendents to Superintendents (8) Assistant Superintendents I to Deputy Superintendents (23) Assistant Superintendents II to Assistant Superintendents I (6) Inspectors to Assistant Superintendents II.
Speaking shortly with the journalists,the Commandant NSCDC Niger State Command,Adamu Abdullahi Kambra charged the promoted personnel that they are expected to put in extra effort by performing diligently to meet up with the challenges that lied ahead in other to justify the rank.
Kambra's worlds"You are expected to perform your Civil Defence duty with all seriousness by protecting the national assets and infrastructures nationwide as well as Niger State in general".
Commander Kambra had reiterated the command readiness to ensure that Niger State witness crime free society, warning the criminally minded individuals to relocate, saying is not going to be business as usual.
Retired DCG Cladius Yakubu, who was the special guest of honor, decorated senior officers promoted to Deputy and Assistant Commandant ranks, and was assisted by ACG Jibrin Shuaib (Rtd). Commandants from Zone "D" headquarters and some senior officers also participated.
He told the newly decorated officers to see their promotion as additional responsibilities that will spur them to discharge their duty diligently to justify their ranks
Retired DCG Yakubu posited that they should leave above board in the discharge of their duty stating that with their new ranks so much is expected of them
" To whom much is given much is expected. With your new rank it is now expected of you to justify your elevation by leaving above board in the discharge of your duty.
" Now additional responsibility is added to you with this promotion. Be reminded that your promotion is geared towards making you add Values to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC).
" Also be reminded that the promotion is aim at conducting your selves in civil manner to the society and the civil populist. On no account you use your new rank to intimidate and harras the citizens" retired DCG Claudius Yakubu told the promoted officers.
The ceremony drew high ranking officials from sister Security agencies in the state and spouses of the newly promoted officers who joined in decorating their love ones.
