In preparation for the 2024 Nasarawa Local Government elections, stakeholders in Lafia Local Government Area have successfully reached an amicable consensus, avoiding any internal disputes.
The chairmanship seat has been allocated to Mohammed Haliru Arabo, while the position of deputy chairman goes to Hon. Uba Arikya, and Hudu Yahaya Sabo has been chosen as council secretary.
The three candidates, accompanied by thousands of their supporters, arrived at the APC Secretariat along Shandam Road in Lafia to submit their nomination and interest forms, marking this significant moment in the party's pre-election process.
Their supporters, in a display of solidarity and enthusiasm, gathered in large numbers to witness and celebrate this pivotal event.
The peaceful resolution and strong backing from party members and residents alike reflect a united front as the party prepares for the elections.
The show of unity is expected to bolster the party’s chances of success, as Mohammed Haliru Arabo, Hon. Uba Arikya, and Hudu Yahaya Sabo lead the way for Lafia's future leadership.
