The Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, today received the newly deployed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, Comdt. Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa, at the Government House in Lafia.
Governor Sule welcomed the new Commandant, emphasizing the importance of close collaboration between the state government and security agencies to maintain law and order. He reiterated his administration's unwavering commitment to supporting the NSCDC in its mission to safeguard public safety.
In his remarks, Commandant Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to diligently serve the people of Nasarawa State. He outlined his strategic focus on community engagement, intelligence gathering, and proactive responses to security challenges.
Governor Sule reaffirmed his support, promising to provide all necessary resources to ensure the success of the NSCDC’s operations. The meeting concluded with Commandant Ingawa presenting his official Letter of Assumption of office to the Governor.
In a statement signed by DSC Jerry Victor, Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC Nasarawa State Command, the Commandant emphasized the need for building trust and partnerships with local communities to prevent crime and maintain peace.
