In order to strethen clear course for productive service delivery, Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) have suspended the immediate accountant general Alh. Said Abubakar and one (1) Permanent Secretary Malam Danjuma Garba plus another single Chief Executive Officer (Account) from the State Service for serious misconduct with effect from 27th September, 2024.
The resolution for the suspension was considered during the civil service Commission’s 1st Extraordinary sitting in the year on 30th September,2024 held at it’s conference Hall in Bauchi.
The Commission during the session reviewed the recommendations and other available documents on the affected Officers submitted by the Office of the State Head of Civil Service which recommended appropriate disciplinary actions against the Officers
The commission’s public relations officer, Saleh Umar, said in a press statement yesterday that it reviewed the recommendations and other available documents on the affected officers submitted by the office of the state head of civil service during the session.
According to the PRO, the office of the head of service recommended appropriate disciplinary actions against the misconducting officers.
He said the commission suspended the officers under section 0331 of the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations to give room for further investigation since the matter is currently with the relevant authorities.
He explained that the suspended officers are currently attached to the office of the secretary to the state government, Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Natural Resources, respectively.
The chairman of the commission, Alh. Abubakar Usman remarked during the session, warning the state public/civil servants to adhere to the rules of engagement in the conduct and discharge of their responsibilities.
