The Principal of Maryam Babangida Girls Science College ( MBGSC) in Niger State,Hajiya Amina Attahiru has been presented with a prestigious Award of Excellent as the best principal of the year 2024.
Presenting the Award to Hajiya Amina Attahiru,the state commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Doctor Hadiza Asabe Mohammed said the award was in recognition of her unwavering commitment to fostering,nurturing and inclusive learning in the educational sub sector in the state.
Hajiya Amina was presented with the Award during this year's World Teachers Day celebration which was held at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre in Minna.
The state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education said the Award was based on merit considering her commitment and track record of achievements in the discharge of her duties.
Doctor Hadija Asabe Mohammed stated that her dedication, Loyalty, discipline and above all God fearing principal qualified her for the Award right from when she was at the Government Secondary school,minna as principal of the school.
The state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education urged Hajiya Amina Attahiru to continue with good work she has been doing adding that the ministry would continue to award deserving principals for their hard work and determination in the discharge of their duties.
Doctor Hadija Asabe Mohammed then urged other principals in the state to emulate Hajiya Amina Attahiru with her good work.
The Principal of Government Girls Science College Bida,Hajiya Hauwa Lami Yawa also received the Award of Excellent for her commitment and dedication to her duty.
Responding on behalf of the Awardees ,the Principal of Maryam Babangida Girl Science College Minna,Hajiya Amina Attahiru thanked the State commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Doctor Hadiza Asabe Mohammed for finding her worthy for the Best Principal Award in Niger State.
She said the Award will propel her to do more in line with the state Government New Niger Agenda towards the educational development of the state.
