The Chairman Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) in Niger State, Barrister Mahmud Al-Ameen Muye has appealed to five Pension administrators in Niger state, to refund the seven point five percent contributing Pension deduction of the Judiciary workers that are yet to be refunded.
The Chairman noted that some staff of the Judiciary were yet to get their refund while few others have been refunded in the last two months.
He stated that the Union has been under pressure from the members that are yet to get their own refunds which he described as uncalled for.
The appeal was contained in a press statement he personally signed on behalf of the Judiciary workers and made available to Journalists in Minna Tuesday.
The five Pension administrators, according to the JUSUN Chairman, include IBTC Pension,Oak Pension, Premium Pension, and Leadway pension.
He said the appeal has become imperative as a result of the present economic hardship that his members were being subjected to by the pension administrators.
According to him, he has personally met the management of the pension administrators in their offices in Minna to prevail on them to refund their money," their excuse is that they are yet to get approval from their headquarters in Abuja.
" I don't know what they are talking about concerning the approval they are waiting for. I'm making a passionate appeal for them to refund their money" he stated.
Barrister Mahmud Al-Ameen described the deliberate refusal of the pension administrators to refund the contributing pension to his members as uncalled for urging them to as a matter of concern make the refund of the contributing pension in the interest of the Judiciary workers.
Although,he said one of the pension administrators has Commenced payment to some staff of the Judiciary, while the remaining four are still refusing to refund to most of the workers he called on those yet to make their refund to commence without further delay.
He explained that out of the over five hundred staff of the workers that were excepted from the further deductions of the contributing pension scheme, only twenty five percent of the Judiciary workers that have sofar been refunded which he observed " is not enough"
He then urged his members to exercise patience assuring that he will continue to appeal to the pension administrators to see reasons to refund their money to them.
