In a recent press statement, Hon. Dogo D. Shammah, former Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for his pivotal role in ensuring the smooth nomination of candidates for chairmanship and councillorship positions within the All Progressives Congress (APC). As the state gears up for the forthcoming Local Government elections, Shammah praised the governor for his commitment to democratic ideals and transparent leadership.

Shammah highlighted the governor's approach to the selection of candidates through consensus, a process that aimed to minimize the stress, financial burden, and risks often associated with primaries. The method was overseen by the APC leadership under Dr. Aliyu Bello, marking a significant step toward accountability in Nasarawa's local governance.

Governor Sule’s insistence on taking nothing for granted as the November 2 elections approach was also emphasized. Shammah urged both chairmanship and councillorship candidates to intensify grassroots engagement to secure victory for the party.

Additionally, the former commissioner applauded the governor's efforts in positioning Nasarawa as a hub for business in the North Central region. He specifically lauded Governor Sule’s initiative in attracting investors, especially his recent efforts to expedite hydroelectric power development at the Farin-Ruwa Dam in Wamba Local Government Area. Shammah expressed optimism that the project will address energy needs in Nasarawa and contribute to national economic growth by supporting small-scale enterprises.

Hon. Dogo D. Shammah signed off by reaffirming his support for the governor's initiatives and calling for continued efforts to ensure victory in the upcoming elections.
