Bauchi Federal Lawmaker Earmarks N670m For Water, Skill Acqusition Centers, Empowerment

A member representing Ningi Warji Federal Constituency of Bauchi State in the House of Representatives, Adamu Hashimu Ranga, has said that N679 million will be spent to provide water, skill acquisition centers in his constituency.

He said that N100 million will be used to build well equipped three skill acquisition centers in Ningi, Warji, and Burra, while N70 million will be used to provide potable water to the Tabla community as part of his commitment to reduce the problems of hunger, hardship and unemployment in his constituency.

Ranga who stated this while fielding questions from journalists in Bauchi, said that the sum of N8.5 million was spent on the distribution of food items to bring succour to the people of his constituents.

He said that the food items, distributed included maize, rice, and bags of millet to households, adding that he sponsored 42 youths to learn basic skills such as installations and repair of Solar, DSTV, CCTV, software and hardware, and moniepoint business.

According to him, N100 million was earmarked for the building of three skills acquisition centers in Ningi, Warji, and Burra communities.

Ranga said he sponsored two bills for the creation of the Federal College of Agriculture in Ningi and Federal College of Education in Warji, adding that all the bills have scaled through the first and second reading in the National Assembly.

The Lawmaker stated that he also secured the construction of classrooms blocks and offices and the building of many health centers in his constituency.

He said the interventions are part of his constituency initiatives and reiterated his commitment to fulfill his campaign promises made towards uplifting the social economy and human development in his constituency

The Reps member said that other interventions will be in agriculture, industrialization, micro-business empowerment, and youth and women empowerment which are central to the development plan.

The lawmaker said that most of the ideas in the development plan will be captured in the 2025 budget, adding that they would be achieved with the support and efforts of stakeholders in the constituency.

“Our vision is to create an optimistic, self-confident, prosperous Ningi Warji Federal Constituency through the utilization of our human and natural resources and operating within a democratic, open, and fair sub-national where opportunities and fair opportunities exist for all”

” Presently I have over N500 million skill acquisition materials that I will use to empower my constituents to contribute meaningfully to their standard of living and most importantly, to end hardship and starvation in their lives,” he said

Ranga said that the empowerment is patriotically aimed at alleviating poverty, hardship, and starvation, giving them rest of minds and longevity.

The lawmaker said that the materials to be allocated may not go around the entire constituents at once, assuring those who are not considered in this phase of employment to exercise patience.

Ranga called on those who will benefit from empowerment materials to make judicious use of the items, and cautiously refrain from acts of disposing them but purposeful use on tasks they are meant for.

He highlighted the materials to be distributed as Laptops, Monie-points, Sewing Machines, Dryers, Generators, and cash among other items
