The Nasarawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Woman Leader, Blessing Julius, has urged the people of Nasarawa Eggon to put aside personal and political differences and work together towards shared goals for the betterment of their community. This call for unity was made during the inauguration of the campaign team for Hon. Iliya Ibn Aliyu, the APC candidate for local government council chairmanship.
During her speech, Julius expressed disappointment over recent inflammatory comments that were directed at elders in Nasarawa Eggon, emphasizing that such language not only disrespects established community leaders but also undermines the fabric of mutual respect that holds society together. She warned against the use of divisive rhetoric, which she said could hinder progress in the area.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on all of us to exercise patience, respect, and understanding in all of our dealings. It is only by fostering a culture of unity and cooperation that we can build a better society,” she urged.
Further, Blessing Julius appealed to members of the APC in Nasarawa Eggon to show unwavering support for the party's candidates in the upcoming election, emphasizing that a strong, united front would enhance the party’s chances for victory.
She highlighted the importance of electing leaders who are committed to grassroots development, stating that the APC has consistently worked to ensure that democratic dividends, such as improved infrastructure, healthcare, and educational resources, reach the people at all levels.
She concluded by reminding the electorate of the benefits of voting for APC candidates, noting that their continued support would reinforce the party’s commitment to positive change and sustainable development for the people of Nasarawa Eggon.
