Ahead of the November 2, 2024, local government elections in Nasarawa State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released the names of its candidates for the 13 local government areas. The list emerged following a consensus agreement reached by party stakeholders across the state.
The names of the selected candidates for each local government area are as follows:
1. Akeamga - Safiyanu Isa
2. Awe - Umar Abubakar Dan Akano
3. Doma - Jonathan Okuba Addara
4. Karu - Barr. Abubakar Aliyu Madaki
5. Keana - Adamu Usman Aboki
6. Keffi - Dr. Idris Ahmad Damagani
7. Kokona - Bitrus Mek Agbawu
8. Lafia - Mohammed Alhaji Haliru
9. Nasarawa - Mohammed Hassan Ahmed
10. Nasarawa Eggon - Barr. Iliya Ibn Aliyu
11. Obi - Isa Mohammed Sani
12. Toto - Martala Usman Danlami
13. Wamba - Ezekiel Musa Jega
This announcement was made in a press release signed by the APC Nasarawa State Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, and the party’s Secretary, Yairus G. Dagusa.
The party's consensus decision marks a significant step towards the local government polls as the candidates prepare to contest in their respective areas.
