In a statement issued by Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Governor Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the only PDP Governor from the North Central Zone, has called for calm among party members amid ongoing deliberations regarding the party’s National Chairmanship seat.

Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to PDP members, particularly from the North Central region, for their steadfast loyalty and commitment to the party. He reassured members that critical stakeholders are actively working behind the scenes to resolve the issues surrounding the chairmanship.

The Governor emphasized that the PDP remains a vital platform for promoting democracy and good governance. He urged party leaders to adhere to the tradition of consensus-building when addressing leadership changes.

Mutfwang commended the dedication and sacrifices of party leaders and stressed the importance of unity within the party. He reminded members that only through collective decision-making can the PDP truly embody its slogan, "Power to the People." He also called on leaders to refrain from making statements that could undermine ongoing peace initiatives.
