The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Silas Agara, has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Nigerians as the country marks its 64th Independence Anniversary. He also extended his celebration to the 28th anniversary of the creation of Nasarawa State, emphasizing the importance of unity and shared progress on these significant occasions.
In a statement, Agara expressed profound national pride, urging all Nigerians to reflect on the journey towards independence as a critical foundation for growth and development. He called on citizens to continue striving for a united and prosperous nation.
“Independence is not just a time for reflection but also for renewed commitment to our country’s progress,” Agara stated, encouraging Nigerians to actively contribute to the nation's advancement.
Agara also used the occasion to commend President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, expressing optimism about the administration's focus on employment generation, economic diversification, and infrastructural development. He lauded Tinubu’s leadership in navigating the complexities of governance, especially in today's challenging environment.
In addition, the NDE Director General applauded Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, for the state's significant strides, particularly in the solid minerals sector, which has positioned Nasarawa as a key player in Nigeria’s mining industry. Agara noted that these advancements are driving economic growth and creating jobs for the state’s youth.
Reflecting on both national and state achievements, Agara called for greater collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure continued progress. “We must embrace cooperation and unity as we work towards a prosperous future. Together, we can elevate both our nation and our state to new heights,” he concluded.
