The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, under the leadership of Hon. Francis Orogu, has commended its members in the 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) for their exceptional performance.
The party praised the assembly members for their political acumen, project execution, human development initiatives, youth and women empowerment, and active legislative participation.
This commendation follows the completion of their first year in office. During this period, PDP members have made significant contributions in their respective constituencies, including providing potable water, building bridges,
constructing culverts, distributing motorcycles, and initiating palliative and scholarship schemes.
The PDP leadership urged the members to maintain and improve their commendable efforts, particularly in public relations, emphasizing that they are the pillars of the party.
Hon. Orogu delivered this message during a courtesy visit from PDP stakeholders from Keffi and Lafia LGAs at his residence in Lafia.
Hon. Orogu also highlighted the PDP's strong position as the leading opposition party in the country and in Nasarawa State.
He noted that the party increased its assembly seats from seven in 2019 to nine in 2023, securing key positions such as Deputy Speaker, Deputy Majority Leader, and Minority Leader in the 7th Assembly.
He called on stakeholders to support the assembly members to achieve their goals and continue making the party proud.
