The Federal Government has allocated two trillion Naira for mass housing projects across all 36 states in Nigeria.
Dr. Mathias Byuan, the Executive Director of Housing, Finance and Accounts at the Federal Housing Authority, made this announcement during a special thanksgiving service for Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF Sen. George Akume in Benue State.
Dr. Byuan explained that the housing projects are part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at tackling the housing deficit in the country.
He also stated that the scheme will be expanded to cover all the 774 Local Government Councils across the country.
During the service, Dr. Byuan urged church leaders to speak out against government officials entering churches to disrupt worship, particularly in Benue State.
He promised continued support for the church and the APC party, asking for prayers for the success of the SGF and President Tinubu.
The service was attended by various government officials, including Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Professor Joseph Utsev, Senators Titus Zam and Emmanuel Udende, as well as other prominent figures like Barrister Pius Akuta, Executive Secretary, Nigerian Shippers Council and former AG and Minister of Justice Chief Mike Aondoakaa.
