Industry stakeholders on Monday commended the administration of Dr. Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin, describing it as transparent and impactful.
According to the stakeholders, Dr. Oluwatoyin, the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), has been instrumental in increasing awareness about training initiatives and improving the lives and livelihoods of millions of businesses in Nigeria.
Investors, community leaders, government officials, and trade union representatives lauded Oluwatoyin's efforts in transforming the organization, harnessing youth potential, driving economic growth, boosting revenue generation, and empowering artisans with essential knowledge, tools, and resources.
In a statement issued in Abuja by the Secretary General of the Manufacturing, Construction, Automobile, and Textile Stakeholders Forum (MCATSF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa, stakeholders praised Oluwatoyin for his purposeful leadership and significant impact on Nigerians' lives.
The statement also criticized a fictitious group, Concerned Workers, for making unsubstantiated allegations against Oluwatoyin.
"The attempt by the fictitious group to cast aspersions on the integrity of Oluwatoyin by making unsubstantiated allegations about him and the organization is unfortunate," the statement read.
The stakeholders denounced the group's efforts to mislead the public, labeling their report as defamatory and misleading. They suggested that the allegations stem from individuals resistant to Oluwatoyin's reforms aimed at curbing corruption and promoting transparency.
The statement highlighted Oluwatoyin's dedication to efficiency, accountability, and his principled approach to leadership. Stakeholders emphasized his impressive performance, visionary attributes, and profound understanding of the organization's goals, noting his achievements in operational changes, technical and entrepreneurial development, and advisory services for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
They also recognized Oluwatoyin’s intellectualism and financial management prowess, underscoring his reputation for honesty, productivity, and passion for efficiency.
