Nasarawa United FC Takes Two-Week Break After Securing Promotion to NPFL

Lafia, Nasarawa State Central Nigeria— Following the triumphant completion of the 2023/24 Nigeria National League (NNL) season and the subsequent promotion to the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Nasarawa United FC has announced a two-week break for players and officials.

In a press statement signed by Eche Amos, Media Officer of Nasarawa United FC, the break, effective immediately, aims to provide the team with a well-deserved rest and an opportunity to recharge ahead of the upcoming season. 

The break will end on Sunday, 14th July, with training resuming on Monday, 15th July, 2024.

With the NPFL governing body hinting at the commencement of the 2024/25 NPFL season on 31st August 2024, this break is timely and essential for the team's preparation.

Nasarawa United FC extended its heartfelt appreciation to several key supporters:
- His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, for his unwavering financial and moral support, fatherly counsel, enthusiasm, and belief in the team.
- His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, Deputy Governor, for his immense support, inspiring messages, presence, and solidarity.
-Hon. Jafaru Ango, Head of the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, for guiding the club through thick and thin.
- Salisu Usman Galadima 'Basira', Chairman of the Nasarawa State Football Association, and **Isah Mohammed**, Head of the Nasarawa State Football Referees' Council, for their technical and psychological support.
- Jibrin Ali 'Baggio, Leader of the Supporters' Club, for their thunderous cheers and unwavering belief throughout the season.
- The media, for their relentless and unbiased coverage of Nasarawa United FC's activities.

The club also thanked all fans around the globe and other critical stakeholders for their support and prayers.

On behalf of the Management Members led by Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim, the Technical Crew headed by Coach Usman Adams, the Players, and the Backroom Staff, Nasarawa United FC expressed honor in sharing their success story with their supporters, emphasizing that their achievements are a shared victory.
