Nasarawa SWAN Election: Re-run Set After Chairmanship Ends in Deadlock with 13 Votes Each

In Nasarawa, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), conducted elections to elect new leaders. 

The Chairmanship election witnessed a tie between Smah George Josiah and Abari Solomon Dogara, each securing 13 votes. 

As a result of the tie, the SWAN Electoral Committee (SWANECO), led by Isaac Ukpoju, along with the SWAN Congress, has decided to hold a re-run election for the Chairmanship position.

 The date for this re-run election is yet to be fixed and will be determined by SWANECO.

In another closely watched contest, Leo Abel emerged victorious with 18 votes, defeating his opponent, Michael, who garnered 7 votes.

The elections were marked by high participation and the promise of continued dedication to the advancement of sports journalism in Nasarawa State.
