The House of Representatives Committee on Ecological Fund has commended Kebbi State Government for its effective use of funds on recommended projects that benefit local communities.
This commendation was made by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Shina Oyedeji, during an inspection visit by committee members to the state.
"We are in Kebbi State in continuation of our oversight function to inspect projects executed with the fund and listen to input from the people and government on other areas of intervention," Oyedeji stated.
The committee members, after visiting several benefitting communities both within and outside the state capital, expressed their satisfaction with Kebbi State's performance in utilizing the ecological funds.
Earlier, during a courtesy call, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, assured the visitors of the state government's dedication to implementing projects under the fund's mandate. He also highlighted the need for additional interventions to broaden the program's impact.
