He stressed that the emirate is the custodian of the culture, traditions, norms, and values of the people.
This distinction, he argued, is crucial for maintaining the integrity and heritage of the region amidst the political dynamics.
He warned that if the current trend continues, the selection of emirs might soon be determined through a ballot, which, he asserted, would undermine the historical and traditional foundations of the emirate institution.
"This will not go down well with the history of our traditional institute," he cautioned, urging a return to respecting the established cultural processes.
