President Tinubu Urges North Central APC Stakeholders to Maintain Unity at Lafia Meeting

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central Zone to maintain unity to propel the party to the next level of development. This appeal was made during the North Central Zonal Stakeholders Meeting of the APC, held on Saturday in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, President Tinubu, who chaired the meeting, emphasized the importance of unity among party members. “I want to appeal to all of you to maintain unity, let our unity be maintained. We need to maintain unity of purpose, unity of brothers and sisters for the progress of our party and the country at large,” he said.

Tinubu commended the North Central governors for their proactive initiatives that have positively impacted their constituents. He also solicited continued support and prayers from stakeholders, APC members, and Nigerians to ensure the success of his administration, reaffirming his commitment to infrastructure development and policies aimed at improving lives.

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the APC National Chairman, highlighted the party's reforms, including the introduction of e-registration for party members to provide accurate membership numbers. Ganduje expressed gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule and North Central APC leaders for inviting him and urged continued unity for the party's and the country's development.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, the North Central APC Coordinator, stated that the meeting aimed to discuss strategies for advancing the party and to express gratitude for the stakeholders' contributions to its success. He called on members to build a formidable North Central Zone.

Governors Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Usman Ododo of Kogi, and Hyacinth Alia of Benue reiterated the call for unity among APC members. Sule emphasized the importance of loyalty to the party for its progress and the country’s development.

Other notable attendees included Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Umar Tanko Al-Makura, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau, Minister of Police Affairs (State) Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, and other party stakeholders, all of whom echoed the necessity of unity for the party’s continued advancement.

The meeting was attended by key political figures, underscoring the importance of collaboration and solidarity within the APC to achieve its goals for the North Central Zone and the nation.
