The second edition of the Aliyu Bello Foundation Under-13 Football Competition concluded with Lafia Local Government Area emerging victorious.
The final, held at Lafia Township Stadium, saw Lafia LG defeat Akwanga LG 3-0 in a penalty shootout.
The event was graced by prominent figures including Governor Abdullahi Sule, who inaugurated the match, and Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe. The Speaker of the Nasarawa State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, and other dignitaries such as Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada and APC State Chairman Alh. Aliyu Bello, were also in attendance.
A total of 13 teams, each representing a Local Government Area in the state, participated in the competition. The stadium was packed with spectators from all over the state, who gathered to witness the thrilling finale.
Governor Sule presented the trophy to the winning team, Lafia LG, while Deputy Governor Akabe awarded the second-place trophy to Akwanga LG. The third-place trophy was given to Karu LG by Speaker Jatau. Additionally, Awe LG was recognized as the best played club, with various gifts distributed to outstanding players, coaches, and officials.
