Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi A Sule, has officially commissioned the 15km Garaku-Gurku-Dari road in the Kokona Local Government Area, marking a significant infrastructural milestone for the region.
The road project, which features a double coat surface, began in November 2022 and was completed ahead of schedule.
During the commissioning ceremony held on Thursday, Governor Sule highlighted the importance of the road for the local communities, stating that it symbolizes a new era of accessibility and economic growth.
Residents of Garaku, Gurku, Dari, and surrounding areas have endured decades of poor road conditions, which hampered transportation and economic activities.
The completion of this road promises to alleviate their suffering by improving connectivity, facilitating trade, and providing easier access to healthcare and education.
Governor Sule's administration has been committed to improving infrastructure across Nasarawa State, and the Garaku-Gurku-Dari road is a testament to these efforts.
The project is expected to boost local economies, attract investment, and significantly improve the quality of life for the residents.
