...house moves to repeal, enact Edict of 1997 that established the state government, media outfit, Nasarawa Broadcasting Service NBS

Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed into law a Bill for a law to Established the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute Lafia and for other Matters Connected Therewith.
The Executive Bill was sent to the House by the State Governor, Engr.Abdullahi Sule aimed at giving the institute legal backing for effective service delivering and it has scaled through all the legislative processes at the floor of the House before passing into law today.
The Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau announced the passage of the bill into law during the House sitting in Lafia today Tuesday.
The motion for the passage of the bill was moved by the House Leader, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara and seconded by the Minority Leader Hon.Luka Iliya Zhekaba and the Speaker passed the bill into law.
"May I request the Clerk to provide me with the clean copy of the law for onward transmission to the Governor for his necessary action "the Speaker said.
The House also received two Executive Bills from the Governor, the first was a Bill for a law to Enact Nasarawa Broadcasting Service and for other matters connected therewith.
The bill scaled first reading at the floor of the House during the day's sitting.
The bill is to repeal and Enact the 1997 Edict that established the State Government media outfit NBS as presented by the House Leader Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara and seconded by the minority leader Hon.Luka Iliya Zhekaba.
The second Executive Bill presented at the floor of the House was A Bill for a law to make provisions for the Establishment of Nasarawa State Education Development Trust Fund and for other matters connected therewith.
The Speaker slated Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd of this month for second reading at the two bills respectively.
The Speaker Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has earlier welcomed Hon. members from the Sallah holiday while hoping that they have got in touch with their constituents as the settled down for legislative business.
