The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has come under fire for alleged interference and meddling in the affairs of the Plateau State House of Assembly, despite lacking membership within the assembly. The accusations were leveled in a scathing press statement released today by Shittu Bamaiyi, Acting State Publicity Secretary.

The statement condemns the PDP's actions as "cowardice, not courage," highlighting the party's vocal attacks on anyone attempting to voice reason within the assembly. The Speaker of the House, purportedly acting as a surrogate for the PDP, has been singled out for criticism, with accusations of denying the majority of the state's population their rights.

Gabriel Dewan, described as a "slavish-lackey" of the PDP, is implicated as a key figure in perpetuating the party's agenda within the assembly. The press release paints a picture of frustration and oppression experienced by the people of Plateau State, citing poor governance and undue interference in institutions such as the Plateau State University Bokkos.

The statement calls on the PDP government to acknowledge its flaws and allow for the voice of reason to prevail in the administration of the state. It also questions the political capital made by Governor Mutfwang's media aides regarding a recent Supreme Court decision on the structure of the PDP, suggesting that the court's judgment may not be infallible.

With tensions escalating between the PDP and its critics, Plateau State finds itself embroiled in a political storm, with the future direction of governance hanging in the balance.
