Nasarawa State, 21st April 2024 - The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shehu Umar Nadada psc, mni, has announced the receipt of various items from the Kungiyar Zaman Lafiya Nomad vigilante group, following the ban on ethnic vigilante groups and similar organizations.
A Press release signed by, Nasarawa state Police Public Relations Officer,
DSP, Ramhan Nansel, Anipr declared that In line with Executive Order No.1 2024, which proscribes ethnic vigilante groups and similar organizations, the Police Command has received 267 pairs of uniforms, 102 pieces of black belts, and 189 pieces of infantry lanyards from the aforementioned group. Additionally, 564 black berets, 339 pieces of black lanyards, 10 white lanyards, and 2 identification cards were also received.
The Commissioner of Police emphasized the importance of compliance with the Executive Order and urged those yet to comply to do so before the two-week ultimatum expires.
The Command is committed to enforcing the ban rigorously.
