Nasarawa State Police Assures Public Safety During Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations

As Muslims across Nasarawa State prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr following the conclusion of Ramadan, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni, has assured residents of sustained efforts to enhance public safety and security during the festivities.

In a statement released today, CP Nadada congratulated the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan and extended warm wishes for a joyful Eid-el-Fitr celebration. He urged citizens to use this time for reflection and to pray for the peace and progress of the state and the nation.

Highlighting the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the public, CP Nadada emphasized the deployment of adequate security measures to ensure a smooth and secure celebration. 

He directed police commanders and officers to intensify both visible and covert security operations, including patrols, raids on troubled areas, and activation of neighborhood policing beats.

To bolster security further, CP Nadada confirmed the strategic deployment of police patrol vehicles along highways and protection for critical infrastructure. 

He assured residents that entry and exit routes into the state have been fortified to maintain peace and security.
