Member representing Obi 1 constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr Ibrahim Peter AKwe, has distributed 250 bags of rice, 10 bags of millet, bundles of wrappers, clothes and N 2.5 million to the people of his constituency.
This, he said that the distribution was sallah package to his constituents to celebrate the forthcoming festival with joy.
Dr Akwe, the Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture made the distribution today.
He said that the palliatives was to cushion the effect of the suffering being faced by his constituents in order to improve on their standard of living.
" Today I am distributing 250 bags of rice, 10 bags of millet, bundles of wrappers, clothes and N 2.5 million to the people of my constituency.
"The distribution of palliatives to my constituents is to enable the people, especially the less privileged ones observe the celebration with ease.
" This is to improve on their standard of living and for the overall development of my constituency, " he said.
The lawmaker said he is initiating deliberate policies that will bring development to the grassroots to give rural dwellers a sense of belonging.
He appreciated the people of his constituency for the continous support he is enjoying from them and called for its sustenance.
He urged the PDP wards chairmen of his constituency to ensure that the materials reach the targeted people.
The lawmaker pledged to continue to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.
In an interview, some of the wards PDP chairmen commended Dr Ibrahim Peter AKwe for always rolling out interventions within and off the festive period as well as other empowerment programs which are people oriented thus expressing their confidence on his leadership.
They have pledged their loyalties and support to enable him succeed at all times.
