The Board of Trustees of a faction of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has suspended the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, for six months over alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
The National Secretary of the party, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday, disclosed this on Tuesday at the party's headquarters in Abuja.
Oginni stated that the governor's suspension followed a recent invitation extended to him to appear before a disciplinary committee to explain infractions on his part.
