Emir of Lafia Calls for Return to Farming Amidst Rising Food Costs

Nasarawa State's Chairman of the Traditional Council, Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Mohammed Bage I (Rtd), has urged the people of the state to reengage in farming activities to ensure abundant food production amidst the escalating cost of food items across the country. 

The monarch emphasized that returning to farming is the most viable solution to combat the high cost of food.

 "Allah has blessed us with ample land for farming," he remarked during a gathering of his subjects for Sallah homage at his palace in Lafia.

 He also implored his subjects to embrace peace, unity, and solidarity, as doing so would foster stronger relationships among the diverse ethnic groups.

 Additionally, he urged residents of the state to continue praying for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule, highlighting the crucial role of prayers in aiding leaders to effectively discharge their duties. 

On the issue of insecurity, the emir advised communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities by unknown individuals to security agencies.
