President Bola Tinubu has commended Dangote Oil and Gas Limited for its recent decision to reduce the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel. The Group has cut the price from N1,650 to N1,000 per litre for purchases of a minimum of one million litres. Additionally, a discount of N30 per litre is being offered for purchases exceeding five million litres.
This price adjustment represents a significant 60% reduction, which is expected to have a positive impact on the prices of various goods and services across the country.
President Tinubu emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships, highlighting the federal government's 20% stake in Dangote Refinery. He believes such collaborations are crucial for advancing the nation's economic prosperity and well-being.
