ABUJA, FCT – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has discredited media reports claiming the suspension of the National Chairman, Dr. Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, CON, by the Executive Committee of the Ganduje Ward in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
In a press statement released today, the APC described the purported suspension as a deceptive act orchestrated by imposters posing as Ward officials.
These individuals, the statement claims, are not genuine APC members but are instead affiliated with senior officials of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP).
The APC alleges that this action is part of a political persecution campaign by the NNPP-led administration in Kano against Dr. Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State.
The legitimate Executive Committee of the Ganduje Ward has reportedly denounced the suspension and reaffirmed Dr. Ganduje's status as a bona fide member of the Party in good standing.
The Party has taken swift action by filing a petition with the Inspector General of Police, urging an expedited investigation into the matter and calling for the perpetrators and their sponsors to be brought to justice.
The APC has urged its members and the public to disregard the reports of the National Chairman's suspension, affirming that Dr. Ganduje remains the National Chairman of the Party.
