Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has issued a stern warning to political appointees against engaging in political activities.
In a letter dated April 16th, 2024, signed by the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Barrister Mohammed Ubandoma Aliyu, Governor Abdullahi Sule advised political appointees with aspirations for political office to either resign from their current positions or wait for the lifting of the ban on political activities by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Governor Sule expressed concern over some political office holders from the present administration being actively involved in political campaigns. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the electoral act and maintaining focus on the state's development objectives.
The governor warned that his administration would no longer tolerate acts of disloyalty and insubordination from political appointees. With the administration's commitment to infrastructural development, economic empowerment, and sustainable growth, Governor Sule stressed the need for undivided attention from all officials.
This directive underscores the government's determination to ensure transparency, integrity, and dedication in serving the people of Nasarawa State.
