In a thrilling finale at RCM Primary School Football ground in Nasarawa Eggon, Stallion FC clinched victory in the inaugural Kauran Eggon Football Unity Cup by defeating Samba FC. The intense match ended in a draw after regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout where Stallion FC secured a 4-3 victory.
Present at the event were dignitaries including Deputy Speaker of Nasarawa House of Assembly, Mohammed Adamu Oyanki, and various government officials such as Hon. Hudu A. Hudu and Hon. Jacob Kudu, among others. Nasarawa State Football Association Chairman, Salisu Usman Galadima, commended the tournament's sponsor, Dr. Prince Yakubu Ahmed Ubangari, and the local organizing committee for their efforts in promoting grassroots football.
Furthermore, during the medal presentation ceremony, Prince Yakubu Abimiku, Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government and ALGON Chairman, honored Nasarawa State FA Chairman, Salisu Galadima, with an Award of Excellence for his outstanding leadership.
Galadima, in turn, pledged financial rewards of One Hundred Thousand Naira to the winners and Fifty Thousand Naira to the runners-up.
In a separate development, Chairman Salisu Usman Galadima commissioned a new secretariat at Amra Plaza No 6, close to Aren Eggon Place, in Nasarawa Eggon. He praised the efforts of local FA officials for their dedication to football development and urged other local FA chairmen to follow suit.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by key figures including Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon LG FA and ALGON Chairman, Prince Yakubu Abimiku, FA Chairmen from neighboring areas, and Blessing David, Secretary of Nasarawa State Football Association. The event marks a significant step towards enhancing football infrastructure and governance at the grassroots level in Nasarawa State.
