Former Zamfara State Governor and current Senator representing Zamfara West, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara), has vehemently denounced the recent heinous act allegedly perpetrated by an unidentified group resulting in the untimely demise of Chairman, Gusau Local Government Ulama Council of JIBWIS, Sheikh Imam Abubakar Hassan Mada.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar underscored the un-Islamic nature and sheer barbarity of the incident, stating that it regrettably harkens back to a period reminiscent of Jahiliyya, wherein the sanctity of human life was not revered.
Expressing deep concern, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar emphasized the imperative for the Zamfara State Government to decisively address and condemn such reprehensible acts to forestall their recurrence in the future.
Highlighting the profound loss to the Islamic community, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar lamented the irreplaceable void left by the passing of Imam Abubakar Hassan Mada, particularly in the realm of Islamic education, given the deceased's unwavering dedication to the propagation of Islam.
