Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved the release of N241,341,953.21 as gratuity payment for 91 retired workers from November to December 2023.
The announcement was made through a press release issued by the State Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, and circulated to the press in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the beneficiaries were verified from a list of 96 retirees submitted by the Kwaido-led Committee, covering payments for State, Local Government, and LGEA Gratuity/Death benefits.
This move aligns with Governor Nasir's commitment to fulfilling campaign promises, ensuring that the government settles all retirement entitlements promptly.
Additionally, the Governor has approved the release of N34,662,964.80 for pension disparity adjustment for 2012/2013 retirees, following recommendations by a committee established to address grievances raised by some retirees.
