Nasarawa State Governor Calls on Muslim Community to Pray for End to Economic Hardship and Insecurity During Ramadan

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged the Muslim community, particularly Islamic scholars, to fervently pray for an end to the nation's economic hardship and insecurity bedeviling the country as they commence the 2024 Ramadan fast.

In a press statement signed by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity,to Govenor Sule,  Dr. Nawani Aboki, copy made available to newsmen in Lafia.

Gov. Sule said Nigeria requires the prayers of all and sundry for the peace and prosperity of the state, urging the clerics and adherents to use their places of Ramadan lecture to preach peace, love, and forgiveness among different nationalities in the state.

The statement called on the scholars to seek Allah's intervention to end the challenges facing the nation, advising them to shun any comments in the course of their religious engagements that may promote disunity and to instead promote unity.

The statement reminded Nigerians to use the period to pray for leaders at all levels to enable them to succeed in addressing the economic hardship and incessant security challenges in the country.

Gov.  Sule also tasked the business community in the state to complement government efforts towards reducing the price of foodstuffs to attract more blessings from Allah, urging wealthy individuals and non-governmental organizations to support the needy with palliatives to cushion the effects of hunger and poverty.
