In a resolute stance against the scourge of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule, the First Lady of Nasarawa State, reiterated her commitment to tackling the issue head-on.
Her declaration came during the two-day Policy Dialogue event organized by Women in Mining Nigeria (WIMIN), themed "Understanding and Strengthening Collaborative Responses to combat Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Mining Host Communities," held at TAAL conference hotel in Lafia on Thursday.
Represented by the State Commissioner for Special Duties, Humanitarian, and NGOs, Princess Margret Elayo, Hajiya Silifat Sule emphasized the importance of women's participation across all spheres to ensure their inclusion in society.
The event served as a platform to address the pressing issue of SGBV and foster collaborative efforts to combat it effectively.
