Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has called for unity of purpose among diverse ethnic nationalities for peace, progress and development of the State.
The Speaker made the call while hosting members of Eggon Movement For APC in Nasarawa State at the assembly complex, Lafia today.
The Speaker while addressing his Kinsmen of APC extraction, said Nasarawa State is endowed with human and natural resources which if harnessed will transform and develop the state.
He said, that can only be possible or achieve if unity and harmonious living is giving priority by all ethnic nationalities in the State.
He informed his visitors that litigations are over and it is time for governance calling on Eggon people in the state to support the government of Engineer Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
"So as to enable it roll out dividends of democracy to the people, Gov. Sule is a good man, he has good intention for the state, he needs our support and prayers" he said.
Speaker Jatau said Eggon people are known for peace, hard work, resilience and loyalty and challenged them not to derail so as to contribute their quota to the development of Nasarawa State.
"No individual, no religion or tribe can make it alone, we all need each other to succeed" Speaker Jatau added.
Earlier, the Leader of the delegation and Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Sule ,Mr James Ali Manzah said the leadership quality so far exhibited by the Speaker, has brought recognition to the Eggon nation and urged him to sustain the momentum.
He assured the Speaker of the loyalty of Eggon nation to the ruling party.
It was reported that the visit had in attendance, the first female lawmaker in the State, Hon. Mary Enwongulu, who called on the Speaker to operate an open door policy and exhibit leadershio quality to correct some misgivings associated with Eggon people.
