Hon. Omadefu Pledges Brighter Future for Keana Constituents, Urges Unity

Hon Mohammed Adamu  Omadefu, Member representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has assured the people of his constituency of better days ahead.

This, he said, was to improve on the standard of living of the people of his constituency even as he calls for more understanding, peace and unity of purpose among his people. 

Hon Omadefu gave the assurance while hosting  Eggon community from Kadarko, Tiv community and Councillors Forum from Keana LGA today in Lafia.

Hon Omadefu appreciated them for their visits and assured them of his readiness to continue to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to communities of his constituecy.

He also appreciated them for supporting him and the government of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

The lawmaker assured of his continous determination to key into good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the standard of living of the people of his constituecy.
 
" By God's grace, I will continue to do my best for you and other people of my constituency in order to improve on your standard of living.

" I have been doing what I can in order to change on your lives and the lives of other people of my constituency positively," he said. 

He pledged to address the issue of social amenities in his constituecy.

" I will rehabilitate boreholes and provide other social amenities to communities of my constituency," he said. 

He called on them and other people of the constituecy to continue to pray and support him and Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

" This is to enable all of us continue to enjoy the much needed dividends of democracy," he said.

Hon Omadefu urged them to continue to be law abiding, live in unity and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.

On issue of alleged of non issuance of Indigene certificate to Tiv people, Hon Omadefu promised to address the issue by meeting with  the authorities of Keana LGA and the traditional council of Keana Local Government in that regard.

Earlier, Mr James Ali Manzah, the leader of the delegation of Eggon from Kadarko, who is also SSA to Gov. Abdullahi Sule  and Hon Abunde Geoffrey, TIDA Chairman, Keana LGA said that the visit was to congratulate Hon Omadefu on his victory at the re-run election.

They assured the lawmaker of their loyalty and support at all times.

They, however, appealed to Hon Omadefu for the provision of basic amenities such as schools, road constructions, employments and appointments among others in their communities.
 
It would be reported that  Abunde Geoffrey, the TIDA chairman of Keana LGA also complaint that the authorities of Keana LG is not giving TIV people Indigene certificate stressing that they have been sideline in the recently distributed palliative by the state government.

He also called for the creation of district and village heads among other challenges facing Tiv community in the area.

In a related development, Keana Local Government Legislative Council led by its Speaker, Hon Hassan Sanusi Adeka paid a congratulatory visit to Hon Omadefu over his victory at the re-run election.

The Speaker said that the victory at the re-run election would enable them to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

He wished Hon Omadefu best in his legislative duties.

The Speaker assured Hon Omadefu of their prayers and support to succeed.

Responding, Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu, Member representing Keana Constituency at the state legislature appreciated them for their visit.

He urged politicians in the area to play the game by its rules in the interest of peace and for the overall development of the area.

He urged the Councillors to remain focused, adding that the sky would continue to be their limits.

Hon Omadefu also  called on them to maintain good working relationship with the chairman, Keana Local Government Area for development to thrive at all times in the area.
